Info on trailing numeric section of Guide URL

I noticed that when I view a Guide there is often a trailing number on the URL:

https://example.com/Guide/How+to+Create+a+Guide/6426

In the above url I’m referring specifically to:

/6426

If I use that exact url to access the Guide, is “/6426” referring to a specific version? Whereupon if the guide were released with a new version, I would still be viewing the old version by using that URL?

Great questions Lucas. The number at the end of the guide URL is the Guide ID, which is the unique identifier for this guide. The URL listed above will always direct the user to the current released version of the guide that corresponds to the Guide ID within the URL (even if the title is incorrect).

Only if the URL contains

/6426?lang=en&release=34

will it direct you to a specific release of that guide.
