Introduction

WARNING: DO NOT RUN DOZUKI ONPREM OFF THE USB KEY

In order for this program to be securely, safely and properly installed and run from your host servers, it MUST be run with the correct storage configuration. Follow instructions below.

    • Dozuki will provide a link with HTTP access to download the Dozuki OnPrem VM image .zip file

    • Dozuki will provide a password to unlock the .zip file

    • Dozuki will also provide a hash of the .zip file content for backup integrity

    • Networking Requirements:

    • Static DHCP lease for the host server

    • This is critical.

    • If this cannot be obtained, contact Dozuki Technical Support immediately

    • Firewall Rules & Requirements:

    • Port 8800 TCP available to the host server for management

    • This port allows control of the server!

    • Ports 80 and 443 TCP available to the host server for user access

    • Hostname: Setup with DNS or Active Directory for the host server

    • System Requirements:

    • Processor: Four CPU cores (or virtual equivalent)

    • Memory: 8+ GB RAM

    • Disk 1 Storage: The Dozuki VM image

    • The VMDK image provided can expand to a maximum of 256GB

    • Disk 2 Storage: 1TB+ High Performance SAN or locally attached storage

    • Be sure to enable any HA and Enhanced Performance features available in your hypervisor for this content volume

    • Physical RAID 1 or 5 is suggested and encouraged

    • Installation Procedure

    • Create a blank Virtual Disk to store your content

    • Note: This is what will store all of your content

    • Minimum Storage Requirement: 500GB (1TB or more recommended)

    • Attach the provided Dozuki VM image as the first attached SATA disk

    • Attach the Content Virtual Disk to the VM as the second attached SATA disk

    • WARNING: Your hypervisor may default to something other than SATA.

    • Setup Restore Factory Settings:

    • Make a snapshot of the provided Dozuki VM image to allow restore to an uninstalled state

    • Backup your content disk:

    • Every 24 hours or more frequently

    • Online point in time snapshots (if possible)

    • Backup your application image:

    • At least once per week

    • Before performing application updates for rollback

    • Online point in time snapshots (if possible)

    • Restores can be made of the Dozuki + Content VM to restore to a specific point in time

  1. Access the Dozuki Administration console at https://<virtual machine hosttname>:8800/

    • Click the Unlock button to unlock the console.

  2. You will then see the Dozuki Administration Dashboard: Go to the Settings tab to configure user settings for Dozuki:

    • Email server settings

    • Authentication (LDAP)

    • IMPORTANT: Go to https://<virtual_machine_hostname>:8800/create-password to change your Dozuki Administration console login password

    • Once logged in, you will see this page.

  4. Update your administrator account password Select “OnPrem” in the top right corner

    • Once on your User Profile, click the “Edit” tab in the top right corner

    • Modify the Admin user to suit your preferences

    • IMPORTANT: Make sure to change the default password
